WaltherPark Project – Bolzano

DETAILS OF THE WORK

WALTHERPARK S.p.A. has entrusted ASACERT with the task of carrying out the activity of Technical Control during construction in relation to the realization of the so-called “WaltherPark Project”, which envisages the redevelopment and a clear enhancement of the center of Bolzano. Overall, the Project includes infrastructure and urban planning solutions involving a shopping center, a quality hotel, housing, office space, large green areas, as well as a comprehensive urban mobility plan with a new bus station. The WaltherPark project area is located in the city center of Bolzano, between Walther Square and the train station, specifically between Alto Adige Street, Verdi Square, and Garibaldi Street.

The accessibility of the center is due to the new direct connection via a tunnel that will be built to connect all the parking garages in the city center and will connect the WaltherPark shopping center with the main streets of Bolzano by relieving traffic on Station Street.

Thanks to the relocation of the bus station, this area will be freed and expanded. Following a detailed urban planning project, which includes a concept of traffic harmony and verse spaces, many new public and private spaces will also be created. The concept and vision of this project is under the banner of a balanced mix of commercial, housing, parking and office areas.
