Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM)

Compliance with CAM is a prerequisite for access to public tenders. With the Decree CAM Construction June 23, 2022 many new features are introduced. The provisions contained in this Decree apply to all construction works regulated by the Public Contracts Code. They also apply to buildings that fall within the scope of the regulations bearing the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape, those of historical-cultural and testimonial value identified in urban planning, excluding those that are incompatible with the conservation work to be carried out. Building CAMs affect the contracting out of the design service of building interventions, works for building interventions, and the joint service of design and works of building interventions. Compliance with CAM is mandatory, both for the designer or technical offices (in case of in-house design in the contracting station) for the purpose of preparing the technical-operational feasibility project and subsequent design levels, and for the economic operator.

CAM SERVICES DURING DESIGN AND EXECUTION, FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATION AND MAINTENANCE

Verification on the completed work is a key link in the control chain so that the implementation effectiveness of CAM is ensured and, consequently, there is the effective reduction of environmental impacts. The Construction CAM unequivocally indicates how third-party inspections are the means by which the contracting station ascertains this implementation.
