WORK DETAILS.
Covivio Development S.p.a.-a leading European real estate company in the office, hotel and residential segments-has appointed ASACERT to conduct the On-going technical control, verification and monitoring in connection with the construction work on a new building for tertiary use, called Building D, with garage and square above, built as part of the North Lot of the “Symbiosis Project” – Milan.
The project fits within the “Horizon 2020” research and innovation program. and involves the cities of Lisbon, London, Milan with the aim of using the latest technologies to counter pollution in contemporary metropolises: precisely for this purpose, the new business district has been equipped with electric vehicles, free of environmentally harmful gas emissions.
Also created is a 13,000-square-meter plaza where technology will be the predominant element, present in the form of constant wi-fi connections, points to recharge smartphones and tablets, benches with multimedia connections, and public transportation on autopilot. The space, which will be totally pedestrian-friendly, will also include 46 trees, water tanks, an urban forest, and a ruderal garden with herbaceous plants and wild vegetation.
Within the new business district stands Fastweb’s new headquarters marked by the presence of numerous open spaces. The building consists of 8 floors above ground and will house 1,200 workstations and 2 basements used as garages.
SERVICE
ASACERT monitored the Technical Control activities during the work, verifying the project documentation, the compliance of the work with the project requirements, the suitability of the materials used and the application of the rules of good construction practice. The technical control activity, in accordance with the provisions of UNI 10721 and carried out by multidisciplinary experts in relation to the work that is the subject of the assignment through meetings with the client works and site visits, will be divided into the following phases:
- Step 1: Review of design documentation
- Phase 2: On-going technical control
- Step 3: Issuance of final documentation
The results and findings of the technical inspection activity will be gradually reported in the following reports:
- Technical reconnaissance report and project analysis
- Visit Report
- Interim reports
At the end of the inspection activities ASACERT was able to express an opinion on what was analyzed, issuing the regular Final Inspection Report.
