Supply Chain

“It is not the strongest species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” C.Darwin

DESCRIPTION

Resilience is the human ability to go through complex, dramatic or unpleasant events (i.e. fierce competition, organizational changes, strenuous relationships) without being weakened by them and instead transforming them to one’s advantage. Fierce competition, organizational changes, strenuous relationships. Being resilient means adapting to possible future changes or those already in existence, having the ability to move forward and access new resources, facing events positively and reorganizing, perhaps in a way unknown before the event.
One of the illustrious victims of covid-19 is the Supply Chain: a complex system made up of production, transport, distribution and trade that has revealed itself in all its “fragility”.
In an interconnected globe, even before attacking our country, the epidemic was already impacting global supply chains. It becomes a priority to have an agile supply chain, with the ability to react quickly to external events, monitored and guided by a supply chain Control Tower which, enabled by tactical and strategic organizational levers, knows how to collect data from the field in real time and, through advanced analytics and simulation of alternative scenarios, support in making decisions in both the short and medium term.
A structured Global Supply Chain – made up of an inter- and intra-national network of air and naval routes, collection and distribution hubs, Special Economic Zones (SEZs) – is essential to the functioning of our society increasingly based on just in time logics & last mile.
