WORK DETAILS.
ASACERT – QUALITALIA carried out on behalf of the Piedmont Region the services of Verification and Validation of the preliminary, final and executive project and Technical Control of the quality and safety during construction, control of the time and cost of implementation, control of the technical-administrative process during construction and independent third-party project auditing, during the restoration works of the Reggia di Venaria Reale.
The Reggia di Venaria Reale, built between 1659 and 1674 at the behest of Charles Emmanuel II of Savoy, represents one of the finest examples of a Venaria residence in Italy.The Reggia building encompasses 80,000 square meters and 60 hectares of gardens, adjacent to the historic center of Venaria and the 3,000 fenced-in hectares of the Castello della Mandria park. The unique architectural heritage of the complex-which has undergone numerous remodels and expansions over the centuries-has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Residences of Savoy since 1997.
SERVICE
In the context of the renovation work of the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale, ASACERT – QUALITALIA carried out the services:
- Verification for the purpose of validation of design drawings
- Ongoing technical control.
The service of Verification and Validation of projects-preliminary, definitive and executive-involved document analysis for the purpose of recognizing the compliance of projects with current regulations and the technical-economic appropriateness of project proposals, following the checks carried out and any corrections and additions made. The verification of the project was carried out with the following purposes in mind:
- Technical feasibility of the work, understood as the absence of errors or omissions that could affect, in whole or in part, the realization of the work or its use;
- Reducing the risk of reservations by the contractor and keeping costs within set limits;
- Immediate tendering of the project and reasonable reliability of the implementation timelines set by the contracting station;
- Compliance with the requirements set in the intervention program (pre-design document);
- Compliance with mandatory and contractual regulations.
The In-Progress Technical Audit carried out by the team of experts focused on the verification of quality and safety requirements, timelines and construction costs, technical-administrative process, and third-party project auditing for the re-functionalization, restoration, and finishing works related to the following building bodies:
- the complex of the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale, complete with inner courtyards
- the buildings pertaining to the Church of St. Hubert, the Restoration Center and the Lamarmora Galloping Grounds
- the outdoor areas pertaining to the Reggia di Venaria, the historic gardens and the Medici del Vascello farmhouse
- the complex of the Borgo Castello della Mandria
- the Rubbianetta farmstead within the Mandria Park
- the Great Citroniera
- the outdoor areas of the Castle Village and the greenhouses of the Nature and Landscape Center.
The in-progress Technical Control service carried out by ASACERT – QUALITALIA aimed to provide valuable assistance to the RUP in carrying out its tasks of supervision of construction management, supervision of safety coordination and quality of works.
RESULT
Taking due account of the high level of complexity represented by the peculiar characteristics of the architectural site of the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale, ASACERT – QUALITALIA was able to express its positive opinion regarding the validation of the projects submitted for verification and the objects of Technical Control analyzed.
