Human Resources
“It is not the strongest species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” C.Darwin
DESCRIPTION
Covid-19 has been an exceptional global test of resilience for organizations, made up of people, who in turn are the most precious capital on which companies are founded. Human Resources are essential for managing business continuity and contribute to managing risks and safeguarding organizational resilience.
For a company to be resilient, the people who work there must be resilient first. Managers need to be educated and empowered to cultivate this quality in their group of collaborators.
The lack of attention to specific aspects of communication, involvement, re-orientation and re-motivation can jeopardize or weaken or make the achievement of the set objectives less timely; vice versa, initiatives explicitly or implicitly aimed at acting on the key factors of personal and organizational resilience, promptly implemented, favor and accelerate the achievement of objectives while preserving the level of organizational well-being for the resources involved.
The pandemic has forced companies to implement or improve teleworking and smart working programs and it is believed that even after the emergency, the extension of remote working solutions for their employees will have to be increased. Hence the need to adopt paradigm shifts and the need for greater involvement of Human Resources to ensure corporate resilience.
Therefore, it will be necessary to adopt new approaches and, given the ongoing digitalisation process, prepare ad hoc training programming to equip staff with adequate digital & soft skills and valorise resources.
