Assistance for the GBC Condomini®️ certification for the Teodosia condominium in Turin

ASACERT, Verification Body Accredited by the Green Building Council Italia, has verified the compliance with the criteria established by the GBC Condomini®️ Protocol for the Teodosia building in Turin, which can boast the distinction of being the first certified building (gold level) in Italy with the energy-environmental sustainability protocol GBC Condomini®️. It is a reporting and efficiency tool for the sustainable regeneration of buildings, with particular attention to energy, water and emissions efficiency, circularity, the use of recycled and low environmental impact materials and resources, comfort and quality of internal environments, for the well-being of people and with respect for environmental ecosystems.

THE CONDOMINIUM

The building consists of two buildings, one with a linear plan (Building A) and one with a cross-shaped plan (Building B), whose construction dates back to the early 1970s. The two buildings are used for residential use and are spread over 11 floors above ground and 2 underground floors, for a total of 276 residential units and a total certified surface area of 37,410 square metres.

SERVICE

Inspection and verification activities relating to a project candidate for GBC Condomini®️ certification (To)

On behalf of GBC Italia, the certification body that owns the protocol and owner of the GBC Condomini®️ certification scheme, ASACERT carried out, with its inspectors and specialized technicians, the inspection and verification activities of the Teodosia Condominium. The consistency and completeness control activities, both in the field and in the documentation, were reported in an audit report delivered to GBC Italia. A final review of the process followed, on the basis of which GBC Italia established the Gold certification level achieved by the Teodosia Condominium.

The accreditation of ASACERT by GBC Italia presupposes compliance with pre-established requirements linked to the structure, process skills and quality of the service, which also provide for ACCREDIA accreditation for specific schemes, such as independent third-party bodies (type A ) for inspection activities (technical control and project validation) and as certification bodies for quality management systems in the EA28 sector.

RESULT

Thanks to the intervention of ASACERT it was possible to obtain the GBC Condomini®️ certification applied to the Teodosia Turin building.
